Drywall makes all the difference!

This week was drywall, mud and taping week at the Burritt Homestead. It's been a little chilly this week, and it's taking a little longer for the mud to dry, but this weekend we hope to have textured walls and then paint!  We picked up our ceiling fans, bathroom and kitchen faucets, kitchen sink, stove and oven and microwave.  Johnny found a beautiful mantel and has worked hard to clean and sand and oil it to perfection.

He also collected some stones from the creek bed and we plan to use them on the fireplace. And made an awesome light fixture to hang in our entryway.

This adventure has been equal parts fun, stressful and exciting. But there is definitely an end in sight to camper living. (At least until we can make it back up to the mountains)
